3 Scene 'commedia' performance and Anecdotals

In class we have been working with tableau, mime and how we portray characters using physical and vocal elements.  On Thursday, you will be performing three scene plays using the elements of Slapstick Comedy as well as some elements of Commedia dell'arte, either plot (mistaken identities, babies switched at birth) or by stock characters (look here to see commedia characters costumes and typical movements).

You are responsible for working within your group to create and perform the three scene play.  You have been provided with a rubric for the performance, as well as a character thinking guide.  These are all for marks, and all are due no later than the end of class on Thursday.

In addition to the performance and character worksheet, you are also responsible for completing the journal questions regarding group work.

Your work on this task will have the most impact on the anecdotal report which you will receive on Monday.

Use the class time you have been given wisely!
